I work with a variety of wood species, often sourced from local sawyers, and am happy to assist you in choosing which is best for your application. Material selection is part of the design process. I’ll guide you through a few options based on the piece, its use, and the character you’re drawn to. Each species brings something different, and we’ll choose one that works both structurally and visually.

Yes. Every piece is built to order. Some start with a clear client idea, and others are more open-ended. I love when I have a degree of creative freedom with the piece. Either way, the design is developed specifically for the space and how it will be used.

Yes. A lot of projects start that way. I’ll help shape the design based on your space, needs, and what you’re drawn to, then develop something that makes sense both visually and structurally.

It varies greatly depending on size, design, and materials. Once we talk through the project, I’ll provide a clear estimate or proposal. Custom work is an investment, and pricing reflects the time, materials, and one-off nature of each piece.

Lead times vary greatly dependent on the scope of your piece and my current workload. Most pieces take anywhere from several weeks to a few months. I’ll give you a more accurate timeline once the design is finalized, but am happy to provide a ballpark timeline if you have an idea of what you’re looking for.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot in the build schedule. The remaining balance is due upon delivery or installation.

Yes, I offer delivery and installation locally around Watsonville and the greater Central Coast. For larger or longer-distance projects, delivery or shipping can be arranged.

I’m happy to use existing pieces as a reference, but I don’t copy designs exactly. Each project is original, and I retain discretion over the final design and details.

Yes. I’m happy to collaborate with designers, builders, and architects to create pieces that fit into a larger project.
